Our Mission

How Revenue Is Calculated

Our estimation algorithm combines four data points to produce a min/avg/max revenue range:

1. Content niche RPM — Each niche carries a different RPM (Revenue Per Mille). Finance channels average $14–18 RPM; gaming channels average $3–5 RPM. We maintain a dataset of 15 niche categories benchmarked from publicly reported creator earnings and advertising market research.

2. Geographic audience multiplier — A US or UK audience generates up to 5x more ad revenue than an audience of the same size in South or Southeast Asia. We detect the channel's primary audience country from language signals and published metadata.

3. Estimated monthly views — We divide the channel's total lifetime views by its age in months to derive an average monthly view estimate, then weight it by seasonal advertising demand patterns (Q4 typically pays 30–40% more than Q1).

4. Content type modifier — YouTube Shorts generate approximately 92–95% less ad revenue per view than standard long-form videos. Where Shorts content is detected, we apply the appropriate modifier.

Revenue figures are estimates. Actual earnings depend on the monetized view rate, advertiser competition during any given period, negotiated channel deals, and other factors only the creator knows. We always show a range, never a single "exact" number.

Data Sources

Channel statistics — subscriber count, total views, video count, creation date, and channel metadata — are retrieved via the official YouTube Data API v3. This is Google's official public data interface; no scraping, no third-party intermediaries.

Revenue estimates are our proprietary calculations and are not provided by, endorsed by, or affiliated with YouTube, Google, or Alphabet Inc.

The Business Potential Score

Our proprietary 0–100 composite score evaluates a channel across five dimensions: subscriber scale, revenue potential, content volume, niche RPM quality, and view-to-subscriber engagement ratio. A score of 75+ (Premium) indicates a channel with strong brand deal and affiliate potential beyond AdSense revenue alone.
